I have a lot of the classic symptoms....very very fatigued and weak, lots of fluid buildup in my belly and legs (lost 30 pds of fluid in 6 days in hospital last week), jaundice of my skin slightly and also in the eyes, bruising very easily (I look like someone beat me up - http://www.sandystyl.blogspot.com/ -for a photo from last hospital stay), horrible itching on my legs below the knee, complete lack of sex drive which used to be high, and most recently I've noticed I can't concentrate well, and my mouth sometimes doesn't correctly say what I'm thinking. I'm new at this having just been put on the transplant list. I'm still on an emotional roller coaster. Hang in there, we'll tackle this thing and hopefully win!
Hi I am Eric. I had a liver biopsy that revealed fatty liver with fibrosis. When I had found this out, I had wanted a second diagnosis. It was not until April 15th that I participated in a research study to determine fibrosis and cirrhosis in the liver. Thanks to the Mayo Clinic I have had a state of the art scan performed that will not be able to other hospitals in at least 3 or more years. The scan is better than a liver biopsy and has revelaed no fibrosis of the liver. I am glad I do not have fibrosis. I have on the other hand a very fatty liver and it does cause me symptoms, which I am trying to deal with. The fatigue can be very bad at times. I have found that Citalopram helps with this.
